Just a short walk away from the Wine Fountain Marezige, approximately 50 metres from the viewpoint area, you will find the Olive Oil Fountain – a unique tasting experience dedicated to premium extra virgin olive oils from Slovenian Istria. It is a place where visitors can explore local traditions through authentic flavours and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere.

The tasting concept is simple and interactive. Using tasting tokens, guests can sample different olive oils, compare aromas and textures, and discover how varieties and production methods influence the final taste. From mild and fruity notes to more intense and peppery profiles, every visitor can create their own personalised tasting journey.
The experience is complemented with homemade bread, Istrian olives and Grana Padano cheese, carefully selected to enhance the character of the oils. A special kids’ tasting with homemade grape juice is also available, making the Olive Oil Fountain a great stop for families, couples and groups alike.
Together with the nearby Wine Fountain Marezige, the Olive Oil Fountain forms the “Istrian Fountains” experience – a unique combination where wine and olive oil meet within just a few steps, offering a complete taste of the region.
More than just a tasting, the Olive Oil Fountain invites you to slow down, learn about local producers and take a piece of Istria home with you.
